LIGHT
Light exploding and coalescing
Ever changing even this night
Look up and be struck
Not by shooting stars
But by the existence of so many stars
Than our Earth has clocked seconds
3.5 billion earth years
Times 365 days
Times 60 minutes
Multiplied by 24 hours
Times 60 seconds
Plus years that leap
And each star we find we name
With names older than our forefathers
With names our ancestors gave them
Each a guide and each a fate foretold
Each as perfectly placed as you
Let the light of one of them travel to you
And fill you
Now do the same
With a
second
.
.
.
second filled with light
And it said
Know 3 things
You are not a mind
And you are not a body
So pay no mind to no body else

Re. LIGHT
Whale....reading this made me feel as if i had been granted a glimpse into immortality.....being of soo much more than our physical existence...our souls of the Pure Light's Energy, and that with our deaths, we become one with the universe...
I have always been fascinated by the stars, and for a few moments, i am lost among all those shining in your nite sky
My friend, this is impressive....intriguing....inspiring ink!

there is nothing like a crisp night sky or the huge sky above the savannah - much to wonder at and wish upon

This poem like many of your others has a quality that goes beyond language. The language itself is brilliant, but the cumulative depth of the piece is something in itself. I should probably follow my own advice and just shut up and appreciate it.

Such a powerful write.
My mind went straight to the Christmas story. The star's light is so vivid. So magnified.
Truly thought provoking ink.
