Clockwork Heart Gatekeeper

I feel like my heart's at her limit,
she can't bear the brute force anymore.
All the beatings she's taken for my sake
left her wounded as she bled on the floor.
Someone, come save her! Oh misery!
For her armor's been broken and bent.
The trials of Hell won't wait for her
and from the Heavens no angel was sent.
Each clockwork petal is falling
from the garden of time she touched
while her pulse is quickly fading,
like the love she thought she clutched.

How did this all come to happen?
When she has so many who care.
They were her knights in shining armor
and came when she needed them there.
But she cast them away silently
so she could carry the burden alone
in an effort to show her strength
to keep me alive on the throne.

My spirit attempted to heal her
with the grace in which she bore
but a phantom of gloomy hatred
had engulfed her forevermore.
My brain told me to use it
to stop time at least to a crawl
and told me never to forgive him
or my walls shall crumble and fall.
