Divine Injustice
Fire and brimstone
Putrescent decay
The Devil cackles
As demons play
Vitriolic violence
Cast upon their captives
The Devil dances
At demon malice
Torturous screams
Fill the midnight air
The Devil grins
About eternal despair
Tear-stained eyes look to the sky
Cries for mercy, hands clasped in prayer
The Devil smiles, ear to ear…
‘Cause he knows, God doesn’t care.

I've heard that. The Devil, here, seems to care. Mostly about his own amusement. Lol. Thanks for the read dude.

Great job with the word choice and fluidity in this one CW. The cursive font adds to the inherent darkness of the poem to

The title immediately drew me in...
The Devil smiles, ear to ear…
‘Cause he knows, God doesn’t care > great lines!
Thoroughly enjoyed this piece of ink, the phrasing is outstanding!

I'm stoked that you enjoyed it. I've read it like 40 times since I wrote it. It's fairly strange, though, I wrote it, posted it, and all the while, I was semi ok with it. Then, I read it again, and again...and each time I read it, I liked it more and more. How odd. Thanks for reading Duende :)

I can relate to that!
Some poems take time before you know how you feel about them... I read all my poems countless times and some poems I leave on my computer for a while... weeks later I can see them in a different light...

A dark write sounds like it was written in a dark place, somewhere where the hopeless go in dire need of an escape, to indulge in your anger and hatred o.o
Hmm well I loved it anyhow , alot.
