The Fool

He walks the face of the earth with your beautiful face haunting him
Tormenting him, reminding him of what he lost, what he once had
All he can do is let it weigh heavily on his heart, slowing him down
It is his own fault for he suffers the consequences that makes him sad

She had something that he never had, the qualities of a good women
Until he broke her heart, crushing it into something colder then ice
Destroying everything he worked so hard to build, what a fool
Life gave him what he wanted and now he is paying the price

His eyes led him to lose control over his heart
His flesh overpowered his will to say no to the powers of lust
Allowing him to commit the sinful act of adultery
Knowing once she found out he would lose all her trust

His thoughts are occasionally filled with images of her, but
She's gone forever, out of reach of his hands trying to pull her back into his life
The cracks in the road, making it a bumpy ride back to friendship
He is going to try many things to make his wrong a right

He broke her heart, what a fool.....
