Atop the World (3:13am)
Thoughtlessly adrift
Learning each new leaf
Tender light-drops amusing
Caught in my weightless android,
purple and silent.
Talkative particals
make for annoying company
in a moment made for a hush,
queitly soaking the rush.
Soft whispers are my thrill
My longing sense of wonder
Just a bright breeze from surface
Though ghost faces seem to care
more than their fair share,
always they cry in despair
when my heart seeks its smile.
So I go,
sad and slow.
And as the dead bird
is amongst his
bedridden ground-fellows,
I will be amongst you.
Atop this hollow skyscraper
a million onlookers look on
as I become a feather;
floating upon sky,
becoming one
with
everyone.
Learning each new leaf
Tender light-drops amusing
Caught in my weightless android,
purple and silent.
Talkative particals
make for annoying company
in a moment made for a hush,
queitly soaking the rush.
Soft whispers are my thrill
My longing sense of wonder
Just a bright breeze from surface
Though ghost faces seem to care
more than their fair share,
always they cry in despair
when my heart seeks its smile.
So I go,
sad and slow.
And as the dead bird
is amongst his
bedridden ground-fellows,
I will be amongst you.
Atop this hollow skyscraper
a million onlookers look on
as I become a feather;
floating upon sky,
becoming one
with
everyone.
