I having a really tough day today battling
I so want to switch off but I cannot let go
All around me I see chaos of my own making
What a waste what a sad waste
Fear can make you feel impotent
Anxiety just distracts you
In life there are battles you can afford to lose
To win the war
Well my love this one battle that I will win
The truth is a powerful sword
I am tired and weary of every waking thought
Worrying about this nonsense
It is time to prepare for battle
Time to face these imposter demons
Bring it on

"the truth is a powerful sword" is not very descriptive of anything.

I say it is wonderful. I agree with you that truth is a powerful sword. It can be a double edged blade and bite you in the butt. It is also a wepon of defense. A very good poem if I do say so myself.
