My Beautiful Brenda, I have this feeling deep inside that although right now to feel out of sorts, this calm that surrounds you will be embraced, while still allowing our fierce Crim to show herself when she is needed. Nothing will ever keep you down, as you said you are a chameleon, you can adapt to whatever your situation and always rise above. This is just one of the reasons why you have not only my undying respect but my eternal love.

This one has some very beautiful expressive lines and phrases, like "refined arena" and "devil's alley", which make stark the physical contrast between the idealised world the narrator once sought entrance to, and the sordid world to which she feels that she truly belongs. I really enjoyed this poem (though, as with the previous one by you that I critiqued, there's an "i'm" that needs capitalising; also, is an author's note truly needed?
