~multi faceted~
picking up pieces of me scattered along the way
left in the barren lands for the crows to devour
*
now seeing all these different facets are me
not to be discarded so carelessly
*
holding them in my ethereal hands
I lift them to the celestial
*
where they are kissed and made whole
weaving the broken, splintered personalities
*
woman, whore, addict and poet
this is all me shattered glass too fragile for the raw world
*
now facing it feet first one foot in front of another
knowing when you meet things head on you get a bashed skull
*
twisted meets light
different beasts same last name

It's always a challenge to reconcile the different parts of ourselves into one. Not everything neccesarily goes together well. I hope the process, with etherial help, is a good one.

Dearest Brenda,
Each of us are in some way
or another made the same. Each
experience and deed good or bad.
Who we were at a certain time in
our lives A lifetime of stumbled and falls then finding the courage to get back up. We are all those thing rolled into one. Some of us do not have the courage to see and remember that but you do. Beautifully written as always but who would expect anything different from you.
Keith

This makes me think of kaleidoscopes. Fragmented pieces with hauntingly beautiful vistas. You are a bit of kaleidoscope, my lady. Beautiful with all of your facets. :)

Such a beautiful piece, lovely Crim!
Just my humble opinion: when you accept and embrace all the different facets of your being, the healing process can start!
Pushing our dark/wounded/addicted parts away, putting energy in those parts, will only make them stronger and at the same time: those are often the forces which drive us to write... as long as they are not destructive, they are allowed to have a small place in our life... they are part of what makes us 'us' and you, my friend, are Unique!
Love, Duende

The masks in your hand,
You hold them close
You know what they are
For who they are
Save your masks
Deep in your heart
For thats what made
Who you are
And face the world
Just with your rawness
Let the world will be confused
And step out of your way
Kneeling down
*
Sorry if I went overboard with this, just wanted to say how I enjoyed this poem, I was feeling it 😊

There is nothing quite self reflect. It sometimes makes me feel so lost. Seems that it takes the broken parts- completely, in order to slowly put back together, through self awareness.
Such a difficult task. :(
I love your expression in this piece. It is one which allows thoughts to linger. 💓

This way lies peace of mind, acknowledging all your facets, hopefully without guilt but with a sense of celebration. Or at least acceptance. The angelic and demon sides can coexist (they probably have to) but if they can do so with harmony all the better. Your facets are fascinating and they seem to be getting on much better these days. It shows in your work, here and elsewhere. Excellent write Lady Crim!
