Motionless
circa 2002
there was a rift between us..
a shift in emotions
causing us to drift
in different directions
no need to sift through the reasons
seasons change
so did we
our range for conversation
became very limited
our demise obviously
quite imminent
no longer were we intimate
no eye contact
just two bodies
chasing leftover nuts
once open doors of communication
now closed shut
and neither one of us
was trying to make any improvements
we were just goin thru the motions
with no real movement
hey..all in all
we had some good times
a few laughs
and it was nice while it lasted
so let's chalk it up as
a moment in time
and just get past it

awww man i been in those shoes before and it was definately a tight fit..this was so wonderfully expressed..indeed communication is the cornerstone that intersects..truly enjoyed this

Simple and plain and sometimes it's just like that... See that is why I can't do relationships because after a period of time, be it years for some or months for others the spark goes out... The music stops... The dancing has ceased.... You stop laughing... You stop conversing about deep things and it's just the mundane day to day left and two souls that were once so close start to drift apart... I think it is such a waste of time... But then again I'm just a hopeless romantic that likes to dream and pehaps that's my problem I prefer my dream world to the real world but in real life things don't ever pan out like the fairy tale story and sometimes relationships do end.... digging this piece and the realness of it....
