Sometimes In Life
Sometimes in life we’re feeling down,
Sometimes in life we’re feeling blue,
Sometimes in life we construct meaning,
Just to get us through;
I feel my life slipping into that void,
and I don’t know what to do.
I’m feeling like I’ve lost it all,
lost it all again,
I don’t know what to make from life,
I don’t know how to win
I don’t know where I’m going,
And try to forget where I’ve been.
I try to connect with the elements,
And all of natures glory,
Yet I get consumed with an ancient struggle
of good and evil warring.
But I wonder where my life
Fits in with this epic story.
It seems that the question of
who I am has me in quite a bind.
While the battle rages on
inside of my mind,
Where is that sense of peace
That I hope to find?
So, what’s the point in losing all,
If you never learn?
Why do so many people fall,
Shouting, “when’s it my turn?”
& As we’re tearing down those walls,
What bridges have we burned?
And, we cry for tomorrow,
wallowing in our sorrow.
Yet we try to live in the now,
And do the best we can,
But we remember our bygone vow,
To help the fellowship of man.
Sometimes in life we’re feeling blue,
Sometimes in life we construct meaning,
Just to get us through;
I feel my life slipping into that void,
