conundrum

after much time
my list has grown exponentially
stretching boundaries
i read more and more
everyday that grasp at my mind
and heart, and soul
i want to add them
but then that means i must do
without, remove others from my list

how can i possibly choose
which ones must go?,
i held onto them for so many reasons
not to have to choose
which ones no longer "feel"
important, or hold those same emotions
that prompted me to hold onto them
in the first place,
why must there be a limit to
my reading list?

it is like having this amazing
library of works,
and someone coming in and saying,
you can't have this one unless you
give these away ...

and I just can't bring myself
to hit that button
