Before the clouds disperce

De profundis,for the departed
favourite for  many
drawn in awe and fear..
Why no more for joy
bestowed by nature
found in primrose verges
cast so carelessly we hardly notice
there to chose and free?
Life is not for ever
we know as we are born,
see  moths trapped in windows,
nipples dry, milk a passing fancy.
Throw off those gowns, black  not for us
bring on the drums and intoxicants,
spin and sing, jazz, girate.
there is little time
but of what there is share
before the clouds disperse
