growing up

I'm laying on my couch, it's not even ten am yet and its already hot as fuck inside my house. It's been two hundred and twenty four days since the last time i shot up, since the KBI knocked on my front door to serve a warrant for my arrest.

I'm four months in to a twelve month sentence with community corrections, if im violated I get revoked and will spend the next eight months in DOC.

After I got out my girlfriend and I got married, now im a family man with five young kids and a job at a truck stop.

This life is better then the one I had before, but its full at times. Potty training has replaced partying, and instead of being sprawled out in bed with a couple girls im sprawled out on the couch with my step daughter watching cartoons and waiting on the pool in our back yard to fill up so they can go swimming.

Ive got my driver's license back and my cars almost paid off, next March my health insurance kicks in as well. My wife's house got paid off in February with income taxes and our oldest son just finished boyscouts for the year.

We attend church almost every Sunday and our two oldest just goy back from church camp.

Maybe im finally growing up.
