A Short Introduction To Spirit
My Soul-mate died 6 years ago
he was lovely man;
talented as fuck
Sang like Frank Sinatra
had Astaire in the heels
of his leather souls
and they could Tap
They did the
Wap Bang Go
too
Anything from Modern
to a Tango
my boy was there
We did copious amounts
of cocaine together
We performed
to packed
full houses
we played to empty
ones to.
We wore black suites
[some days]
Were seen in white
[at funerals]
Arrived at Hootie Tootie
and the corporate
in Levis and Puma
But we did the job
every time
between shots
of Jack Daniels
and the odd
Amstel
My Soul-mate
died six years ago
My wife left
a year later
Half the public
and some friends
have tried to fill
that void
They come yielding
alcohol
[some days]
Are seen with
CAT [at funerals]
Arrive at Hootie Tootie
and the corporate
with
cocaine
None can figure
why they
are left
to speak
and partake
to the hand, after
the cold shoulder.
They need to listen
My Soul-mate died
six years ago
My wife left a
year later
