Dark Ode To Mother
Thank You, Mother
For having me.
For being a hot in the pants 17 year old
Who figured she was grown enough to do grown people things
If my daddy was anything like me at that age
I guess you had your hands
and your pussy full.
(Yuck! Bad visual.
Or what if my freakiness comes from you.
Oops. That's even worse)
But, anyway
Thank You
For not making my daddy wear a rubber
I would surely have been flushed away
to float off and sleep with the fishes
Glad you ain't make him pull out neither
I could have ended up a stain on the bed
Or perhaps
a pearl necklace or something
Not sure if that name even existed in 1968
Thank You
For the things that you did
(that's an image I'd rather not have, no matter how much I enjoy those acts myself)
That got you with kid
And thank you
for keeping me once I showed up
Through all the shitty diapers
Runny noses
And times you had to delay practicing to make my brother and sister
Cause my little ass would not go to sleep
Thank You, Mom
Thank You again
This may seem a bit irreverent or distasteful, but I do this in honor of the truth of making a child.
And also in tribute to CasketSharpe and SatanSperm, who while creative and innovative, are a couple of the most irreverent poets I've come across; yet they bring out the truth of humanity in every piece I have seen by them.
I hope to become that good
