This is a very astute and true observation
very well-written. I have often wondered
about the schools myself...and what's
become of them. Social media abuse
certainly hasn't contributed to the
overall situation in this country.
I will say that the final line seems a bit
of a let down, then I saw in my mind
"Want fries with that?" in quotation
marks, moved to the final line right
after 'parent's worst nightmare'.

Could't agree more with your sentiment here. The state of the culture these days is just dreadful for the most part.
Your poem however is not dreadful. Simple, blunt and well stated.

Hey sorry for responding so late.
Thanks for reading and responding. I'm so pissed at my generation for not parenting and preparing there kids. Instead they try to be their child's friend and excuse their disrespectful behavior.
