I worry
I worry about the world
I worry about us all

I see
I see a never-ending focus away
I see an unending quest for enlightenment, truth, peace outside this realm
I see the search for solace elsewhere
I see
I comprehend
I comprehend how the weight of this world can smother
I comprehend the blinding need to find surcease somewhere, to transcend this mortal plane
I comprehend the urge to stop all pain and put an end to woe
I comprehend
I believe
I believe here is where we are right now and naught else matters
I believe here is where our focus must lie for this constant striving elsewhere lends itself to a certain callous disregard for where we are and what must be accomplished here
I believe tis a dangerous thing, indeed, to focus on elsewhere when there is here and here is what must needs change
