The tale of Bobby and Bobbie

Akin to the Bobbsey twins almost, they met in kindergarten
chubby faced, yellow haired, in their sameness
children of different parents yet how similar
of different gender yet dressed the same

they grew and attended primary schools
Bobbie in pinafores, Bobby in pants
if they crossed dressed no one could tell
until she grew breasts and he spoke in bass

secondary schools done and to the world they went
one to higher education one to earn his daily bread
Bobbie was a doctor, Bobby was a sailor
and to their respective world they went

their parents grew old and began to ail
Bobby came home to bury his father
Bobbie attended with her mother
and everyone thought she was the widow

they could have fallen in love
being best friends and so close
but it could have been incestuous
as they were more siblings than others

for they were from the same sperm bank
and the same donor....
their mothers furrows all ready to sow
but their fathers were sowing husks

the unfortunate Bobs.
