The Soldiers of God
For lost kingdoms he does search
wrapped in his garb, magical cloak
Hark, he hears canters of horses
towards the holy cities they ride
might of steels upon their stride
kill and conquer, pillage and plunder
they fly over the dying ones
looking with glee, at last breaths
hark, more warriors, dotting the skyline
They thunder on, riding their steeds
hard towards the kingdom, where knights
are gathering for the final assault
Crashing in battle, with fiery might
Swords unsheathed shields up front, charge!
For kingdom and glory they fought
Yet when swords sworn to holiness
In all its deeds for God
Only a few to it adhered
