- - - ROSES RIP MY HEART APART - - -
Rain patters lightly on my tombstone
A graven pit that has become my throne
Your monthly visit always leaves me cold
I can’t resist it, I am growing mold
Flowers left, wither away in time
Blackened petals sleep beneath the grime
Memories burning away in the past
Maybe your mourning remain in the glass
And too soon our love did depart
Your roses rip my heart apart
And our dreams were left in the dark
Thorn bouquets rip my heart apart
And we were doomed right from the start
Your roses rip my heart apart
Branded, we bare the mark
Our last days play over in my head
Joyful summer mornings turn to dread
Eternal winter, flesh is turning black
Labyrinth splinters, I’m not coming back
A misericord stabs in my chest
Will you not grant me a dreamless rest?
Why must I suffer deathly serpents’ kiss
Tale of two lovers bathing in the piss
And too soon our love did depart
Your roses rip my heart apart
And our dreams were left in the dark
Thorn bouquets rip my heart apart
And we were doomed right from the start
Your roses rip my heart apart
Branded, we bare the mark
Ghosts speak to me of misery
Old scars and blasphemy
“Take me from the steps of Heaven
And show me love in tragedy”
And too soon our love did depart
Your roses rip my heart apart
And our dreams were left in the dark
Thorn bouquets rip my heart apart
And we were doomed right from the start
Your roses rip my heart apart
Branded, we bare the mark
