Three Mississippi (song)

I count real slow, watch his eyes meet mine
Then down they go, tracin' all of my lines
He ain't tryin' to hide
Looks like somebody wants a piece of my time.

I bet he'd skip the queue, walk right into a fight
mm, the way I move got his knuckles white
for a look in the eyes...
Looks like somebody wanna sweat for a night.

Ooh, don't play coy, I'm not lookin' for clues,
I only wanna make a little magic with you...

[chorus 1]
It's now or never, I'm countin' to three;
playin' cool ain't gonna get you nowhere with me.
I talk like this, make a grown man plead...
by "three mississippi" he's down on his knees.

...

Oh, and down the bar, wavin' cash for a drink
My restless heart is just too sober to think,
but she's lookin' at me
Her stare's about a million degeres.

She was collar bones and a summer haze
She got real close, said, "Now listen, babe
I don't really play games...
Knock back that shot and let's get out of this place."

Maybe I'm shallow, maybe I'm cold...
So many pretty people, I can't pick one to hold.

[chorus 2]
It's now or never, I'm countin' to four;
all the beaus and belles wanna open my door.
Yeah, the whole place sick, and there ain't no remedies...
By "three mississippi" they'll be beggin' for me.
