Tonight...
(Submitted in the "Cheesy Valentine!" Competition)
If I brought you flowers
Would you hold my hand?
We could talk for hours
I would be your man;
Whisper the sweetest nothings
In your cute little ear
Your knight in shining armor
Now you have nothing to fear.
We never even talked about it
When it comes right down to it
I've really only dreamt about it for so long.
If I write you a poem
Would you kiss me on the cheek
Then wrap your arms around me
And tell me I'm not a geek?
My heart feels like it's on fire
Every time you smile
I've wanted to tell you this
For quite a while....
But every time we sit and stare
I tell myself that you don't care
And I never really get to where you are...
Now we’re walking in the moonlight
Your hand is in my hand
But my heart’s in your hands
Tonight…
And then forever
Tonight…
We’ll always be together
Tonight…
Even if it’s only in my dreams…..
Now we’re walking in the moonlight
Your hand is in my hand
But my heart’s in your hands
Tonight…
If I brought you flowers
Would you hold my hand?
We could talk for hours
I would be your man;
Whisper the sweetest nothings
In your cute little ear
Your knight in shining armor
Now you have nothing to fear.
We never even talked about it
When it comes right down to it
