The Land Of The Living

I’ve become an invisible man
Like I’m taking space that nobody needs
Feeling like I have withered to nothing
I call out but my voice drifts away on the breeze
I think back on a life I was living
Full of color that filled up the day
Full of words people wanted to hear
Full of life people wanted to share with me
I want to be the man that I was once before
I don’t need to be anything better
Just a man with something worthwhile to say
Not living like this, the invisible way
What does it take in the end
To become you again
How long do you have to wait?
To see something come of the thoughts that you think
My thoughts are all that I am
And they’re all that I have left to be giving
To put the color back into my life
To find my way back to the land of the living
