A Past Not Lived

Twenty four summers and winters;
Monotonous yet unparalleled.
Dragged myself or pushed ahead
Through this meadow or mess?
Made efforts to ignore or impress;
But life remained a nonchalant dread.
Future revelation made the present dead
Like a shroud to dress and undress.
Worthless to look back and address;
That past (neither lived nor left).
Crumbled like a paper into shreds
Don't read, don't touch, don't regret.
