News Coverage of EMP is being Smothered by Coverage of Less Important Stuff

Electro-Magnetic Pulse or EMP is being ignored or slighted by the press and the media.
News story after story on Global Warming(GW) - they come out almost daily. It's sickening.
Not that GW stories are so bad, it's just that EMP is a much worse, ominous, deadly threat !!!
By far !! It deserves full-throated COVERAGE in the press and TV journalism, etc !!!

With GW, as the shorelines around the world rise,
mankind will have time to take drastic measures to curtail it.
NOT SO with EMP. All or almost all the social media will be disabled,
no more WWW or Internet - for several months.
One GOOD thing about it, it will result in a rebirth
of paper media, newspapers and magazines, books.
More people will use their public libraries, for that
will be about the only game in town, so to speak.

For you neophytes out there, let me give a tutorial on EMP:
There's two types, two sources.
(1)When the sun "spits" a big ball of plasma in our direction
the electricity or radiation that goes with it = EMP.
Somehow, it overloads electronic equipment and cooks the real sensitive types.
Back in July of 2012 (or was it 2013?), the Earth just missed, by three days,
a Solar eruption that would have been a super EMP attack.
As  the Earth revolves around the sun, if it had
reached a certain point of it's revolution just three days earlier,
Civilization would have been zapped, blasted, crippled.

(2)If a terrorist group or nation like North Korea were
to send a nuclear missile warhead across the USA,
arranging for it to detonate at about 200 miles up,
that would be a NUCLEAR EMP attack.
The energy given off would be enuff to overload and destroy sensitive circuits, etc.
Besides our computers and cell phones,etc, the ELECTRIC GRID itself would go down.
Not for hours or days, or even weeks. Rather, for months, several of them.
So now you can see how serious an EMP attack, Solar or man-made, would be !!!

A SOLAR EMP attack would be actually worse than the nuclear EMP.
For a solar EMP ordeal would envelop the whole Earth.For a short time.
Whereas, with a nuclear EMP attack on America by Russia,
or North Korea, etc, the other nations would be spared.

You may be asking, If a solar EMP attack is a real
possibility why hasn't it happened by now ??
Well, it actually DID already happen back 1859(?)
Google "The Carrington Event" - you should get results
saying that telegraph lines were destroyed or damaged.
That was the only use of electricity we had back then.

What can be done to protect against EMP?
This is the shameful part, our gov't leaders have not taken action.
TRANSFORMERS WOULD BE DESTROYED by EMP
 So we should build up a stockpile of them and other spare parts.
Instead we have almost no inventory to speak of !!
Please look up Ted Koppel's new book, "Lights Out" about an EMP attack !!
And buy it, I did and I've read about 60 pages. I should have finished it by now.
So I could do a better job on the piece I'm writing right now.
