A herald comes
From far and wide
To plant a seed
See the thorns bloom
Against the tide
Crucifying me
The essence of man lies within the sin
Dripping forth from an unstable will
Savoring the taste of her sweating skin
All the while the beast moves in for the kill
Crimson droplets bleed from eyes
Throes in synthetic mesh
Apply the new found devil
Beneath your flesh
Wish on a fallen star, mournful and sad
Spiraled from celestial steps burdened
With spiderwebs, neglected and cracked
Leave hellbound hearts withered and hardened
The storm blows in
With demons or addictions
To altering substances
Or to razors through meat
Wages of sin
Sermons of crucifixion
We live in the injustice
When torture becomes sweet
It writhes like a serpent under the jest
I can feel it, entwined, like a great love
A hunger, burning, deep inside my chest
Drowning all the dead hearts I can think of
Crimson droplets bleed from eyes
Throes in synthetic mesh
Apply the new found devil
Beneath the flesh
You must purify yourself with the flame
That burns, eternally, within your heart
We are born to suffer and live the same
Just to die before we even start
To let inside
The serpent and affliction
When we need sustenance
On the path to defeat
The wailing cries
The scalpel and dissection
When our own existence
Rests, solely, on our deeds
I see horizons
Scores of hanging dead
On ropes, jagged spears
Where some fear to tread
And savior comes
To light us a path
With the morning star
The light bringer comes
The storm blows in
