The Double Revelation Principle

The Bible isn't the only "Word of God."
There are TWO, not one, forms of "the Word of God"
(besides Christ the Living Word of God, John 1).
For there are TWO, not just one, REVELATIONS OF GOD BY GOD.
(1)The Bible, the "Special Revelation of God." But also
(2)Nature, which is called "the General Revelation of God."
When Paul says, Nature,(Romans 1.19-20)
we can take that as shorthand for THE STUDY OF Nature.    
   
Let me develop the message.
Notice what Paul the Apostle does with the theme of Nature as the word of God:
he asks, "Have the Jews not heard [the Word of God]?" (Romans 10.17-18).
Then he answers, "Yes, their words go out to all the Earth"(Rom. 10.18).
But he's quoting from Psalms 19.1-4 in a very surprising way.    
"Their words" in Romans 10.18 refers to "their words" in Ps 19.4.
There, "their words" refers to the words of/from the heavens.
So we can paraphrase it like this:
"The words of the heavens or skies goes out to all the Earth."
By Paul inserting "the word of the skies"
into a passage about "the Word of God"(Rom 10.17),
he is doing nothing less than ELEVATING Nature (the study of it)
Putting it on a par with "Special Revelation," the Bible !!!    
For "the skies" = Nature, for they are synonymous
with the created Universe   -   Nature in the cosmic sense.
Elevating Nature/the study of it to that level, its just unheard of !!

So we shouldn't go by the Bible alone
but by the compound Word of God, namely, the Bible and Science as a unity
(Like man and woman, ie husband and wife, so to speak.

Why do the Jews look down on the Samaritans?
Part of it is, they don't accept beyond the first 6 books.
Why do we look down on the Jews?
Partly because they hold to only the Old Testament.
When we hold to the Bible but not to science,
we are being like the Samaritans and the Jews. Very bad.
 
And let me stress that the study of Nature has developed into what?
Science, of course. Rather, the sciences in all their varied forms.
So we can actually say, with a straight face, that if General Revelation =
the Word of God(based on Romans 10.17-18),
then science  -  SCIENCE  -  = the Word of God.

Let me branch out, here.
Christ is the Creator of the Universe (John 1.1-3)
(Because God did it thru His Wisdom (Psalms 136.5; Proverbs 3.19),
And "Christ is the Wisdom of God" (1 Corinthians 1.30).
Now, to create the universe means to create the laws
of science upon which the Universe operates, lets say.
To create the laws of science,
doesn't that pretty much make you a scientist yourself??
I'd say so, or it comes close enuff !!
LSS: Christ as the Creator can be seen as the Ultimate Scientist !!
And if we, His human flock, have His Spirit thru conversion,
Prayer, "the fellowship of His Sufferings"(Phillipians 3.10),
We actually have the Spirit of a scientist in us,
NOT a scientist, rather T H E Scientist of all scientists !!!
Is it any wonder that down thru the centuries
Christians have been the scientists: the inventors, the break-thru makers !!
Moslems, not so much; Hindus, not so much; Buddhists, not so much.
Why is that? Maybe it's just a simple matter of
"like Father(Christ),  like son(the Christian community)."
Yes, the Western (Christian) world's leadership in all things scientific
has always been, until recently, been attributable to Christianity !!
