I Don’t Love You Any More
You used to say I love you
Every hour of every day
Now it’s just complaining
I don’t do it now, your way
You used to squeal with passion
And you’d chase me round the room
Now you run the other way
You’re cheating, I assume
You used to voice your praise
Of what I meant to you
Now you’re just sarcastic
And I’m left feeling blue
You used to chat with humour
Back then when we had fun
Now mostly we are miserable
It’s more like hit and run
You used to speak with honesty
Our love a two way street
Now the road is closed for good
You’re in the driver’s seat
You used to sing a song of love
It’s now a song of hate
I wonder if we’re saveable
It’s maybe just too late
You used to talk of future
You can’t see it; or you won’t
You say that I don’t love you
You’re probably right; I don’t
Every hour of every day
Now it’s just complaining
I don’t do it now, your way
You used to squeal with passion
And you’d chase me round the room
Now you run the other way
You’re cheating, I assume
You used to voice your praise
Of what I meant to you
Now you’re just sarcastic
And I’m left feeling blue
You used to chat with humour
Back then when we had fun
Now mostly we are miserable
It’s more like hit and run
You used to speak with honesty
Our love a two way street
Now the road is closed for good
You’re in the driver’s seat
You used to sing a song of love
It’s now a song of hate
I wonder if we’re saveable
It’s maybe just too late
You used to talk of future
You can’t see it; or you won’t
You say that I don’t love you
You’re probably right; I don’t
