.:Cranberries and Bananas:.
this autumn, this time of year
prayerfully they’ll be some
good crammed berries
real good, bloody good,
inna very deep, very red state
one that’ll never back down to bananas
for sure, without any doubt
bananas, some say
they rip ~ pen
their own selves
always do, some
believe they always will
honest polls have said as much
might be in the Bible too, whereas
the older they get
the more yellow they get
least for a while
then they get
darker
but, not so
crammed berries
they bring the juice
the more of ‘em, the more juice
packed & crammed
table topping pies & jam
alotta rural areas, some urban too
former old frontier places
these old spots where you’ll find
Pilgrims and wannabe Pilgrims and
Ranchers and wannabe Ranchers and
Turkeys and possibly some “others”
one will find plenty of slicing
plenty of giving thanks and what not
foots and balls joined together
maybe, some headgear with a feather,
but for sure
definitely gonna be some
crammed berries
few bananas, but
that’s ok.
most of ‘em
they too soft anyway
to yellow
aughta be squash
~ ed

this one has the energy of social commentary/angst
I can assign a cpl of my own players to ether side
and appreciate the intellect behind the metaphor.
