Love is forever

Let me lay here next to you,
My heart, my life, my soul.
We have lived the fullest lives,
To the next, again be whole.

I remember meeting you,
Many years ago.
When you looked into my eyes,
You stole my heart, I know.

We danced as though we were alone,
Staring into each other's eyes.
I would profess my love to you,
I'd wipe your tear as you cried.

I held your hand through everything,
Never letting go.
You were my rock and anchor,
My love I do bestow.

We spent the years as lovers and friends,
Always by your side.
I could not live without you dear,
This love I cannot hide.

There was no night I'd go to bed,
Without you next to me.
And wake up smiling filled with pride,
No place I'd rather be.

So as we take our final sleep,
Our hearts are together.
And through the years our story told,
Love is forever.
