Distant Lover
What is poetry
But a message in a bottle?..
So with that in mind
I send you these words
Shaken and stirred within my Soul
Aged inside the deep recesses of my mind
Dripped with care from my quill's tip
Into this time capsule...
It's these diminutive fragments of a man
I hope will reach their destination fully intact
May they navigate their way into
The crevices of your mind if only
To engage your intellect and curiosity
May my ink become the warm sentiment
That lovingly bastes your heart in the
Marinade of my affections
May these words reverberate between your thighs
As your liquid love smooths out your scented passageway
For what is surely soon to come
Yes....I sincerely hope these words imprint upon you
A 3-dimensional effect...
For all I am at the moment
Is nothing more than a collage of
Adjectives
Verbs
And nouns
That's been bottled up for quite some time now
Filled with reveries of our....prequel
Of missed opportunities
Of mis-interpretations
Yes,we explored the physical us
Danced with the mental us
But purposely dodged the emotional us
Neither of us half as cool as we pretended to be
Standing proud and tall behind protective walls
Walls that were shattered...not by poetry
But through the time and distance
That was suddenly thrust upon us
Where we ventured into an unexpected friendship
And developed an unique kinship
As we vibed just as everyday folk
The two of us realizing we were on
Opposite sides of the same coin
Finally learning to face one another
...we never had to chase one another
Because like magnets we were always
Drawn to one another...
Even through the years...
Even beyond the distance...
So...what is poetry...
But a message in a bottle?...
And this bottle I send to you
Is what I like to refer to as....

First thing that popped into my mind was Marvin Gaye's Distant Lover, when I read the title. As it were you managed to create your own amazing 'song' thru words, yet I still think that song would fit this :)

Now that is tremendously creative, Wow!!!!!!! I had to read through it a couple of times because I couldn't believe someone would be this creative. I'm astounded really, this is indeed a work of art. Bravo!
Just a correction on the second line, I think you meant to write "message in a bottle" as opposed to "massage in a bottle"....?
