A View Spoken In 3rd Person
not necessarily a grimy dude
just a fool at times
chasing after his own passions
tripping over the ego
instead of leaping
to get over himself
caught slipping in a mess
of his own making
as love beckons
there for the taking
despite how much he rambles
there's something sincere within him
that's worth the gamble
a notoriously late bloomer
sidestepping his own doom
by faith/fortitude and some timely luck/providence. .
so close to prominence
yet so painfully far away..
still his spirit won't let him stray
too far from his center
maneuvering between undiagnosed dilemmas
Mr. drama king
needs a quiet queen
to help settle things
offer some subtle guidance
behind the scenes
he's aware of the pain he caused
but at this point
apologies for the same shit just
won't cut it
loving this dude is like trying to figure out
an unsolved mystery
it's time he comes face to face
with his own history
learn to harness the unspoken truths
that resonates from him
not just start from scratch
but scratch beneath the surface
there's untainted beauty
behind that veneer of darkness
step out from the shade
let go of the jade
take ownership of his emotions
don't react
respond
she's been very responsive to him
could have easily done otherwise
a wise woman worth her weight in gold
she waits for him to rise above
the lies his mind sold to his soul
concede to his truth
stand confident within it
then and only then
can he meet her at the crossroads
and compliment her wholeness properly
instead of indulging in these paltry offerings
of fragments laced with tainted love

Wow feel exposed as I realise I may be Mrs Drama Queen..Home run that went thru me, past me and around me holding me hostage and filled with stage fright as I related..still processing..loved this. Raine you got here first and may now have to serve as King and Queen to my inspiration as I read both your works ..

Was afraid while journeying this piece,
that I would lean in too close ..too close
to the sounds,
yet fear did manifest itself because...
while reading.. I found myself pacing every
verse .The ladies are so right, this is
specifically a glass decor.
