Broken , beaten and scarred

I gave you my heart to keep
It was for me a big leap
Never have I trusted someone like this

Then you took my heart
I thought I was being smart
But you crushed it into sand

You cast it into the wind
The storms scattered it across the earth
But you stabbed at it and bruised it

You took it into your hands , crushing
You took it knowing it was fragile , breaking
You took it for yourself and threw it away , wasting

You crushed me leaving scars
A wound in my chest
Obscuring the now emptyness

You left me in this life alone
You ruined me in this world of stone
Broken , beaten and scared not finding my way home...
