Phantom

Thinking swirling in drops and sways,
Sleepless nights dragging on into cloudy daze,
Since I left your side my mind keeps returning,
Have I crossed yours even in a seconds blaze?
Not twice,
Maybe just now,
For me it is just countless,
But I can’t figure out how.
You were but a phantom in the night,
A banshee on my travel,
How has your presence lingered here,
How could you make reality unravel?
Such sweet musings,
Such cruel desires,
An honest heart,
When surrounded by liars.
Will you come back,
With my heart it's a theft,
Will you return it,
With my heart only left.
So come and dance,
So come and sing,
Take sounds and make whole,
Take peasants and make kings.
You dear queen of fires,
Me a poor price of ice,
It could be a love like yours,
What differ lions from mice.
