I hate you
Ok, not really
But you got me used to having a friend
Accustom to having one of the best
And you know, I never thought it would end
Or that we'd end up this way
I knew things would make us bend
But never imagined we would break
The world had its way with us
And gave us more than we could take
And yes we had our disagreements
With strong opinions that wont' change
We've both done each other damage
Both responsible for pain
But each time that I reflect
I see there was more good than bad
Not much comes close to how we connect
Irreplaceable friendship we had
We kept each other strong and happy
And though we could both make each other mad
You were in my heart like family
So losing you will always be sad
I constantly hope for your happiness
And truly wish you the best
Because you deserve nothing less
You're a good person under the mess
Me, I'm more complex
A mess always in need of cleaning
You were the softener to my fabric
The helpful product I never knew I was seeking
Opened my eyes to things I wasn't seeing
Let me give back to you when you needed
At our highest peaks as a team and
Having too much fun when mindlessly scheming
So I choose not to forget the smiles
All complications aside
Because we had something that was worthwhile
In my mind that can't be denied
Though a fix for our problems couldn't be found
The fact will still remain
Life feels weird without you around
