Welcome To The Hood

Hello and welcome to the ghetto or also known as the hood or the barrio or  
 
the projects, on our tour we will guide you through the poorest of poorest.
 
Are you ready?, I bet you are, here we go!...
 
Knowledge that's coming straight from the underground,
stuff that's not found anywhere else.
Why?, because either they just don't wanna know or they just don't wanna show what is goin' on in the hood yet they should, but they don't care.
Blood shed on the streets daily from day n' night,
gangs fights end with gun toting,
bang!, bang! the bullets go making holes through their chests.
Looks like no one's coming home tonight.
It's just another day in the life of the hood.
Police always thinking you're up to no good if you're a minority,
but they got your back if your white,
they give you no slack if your black or Hispanic.
Treat you like a criminal even if all you're doing is walking down a sidewalk.
It's just another day in the life of the hood.
Have to carry an AK just to feel safe,
it don't matter if you're from the C.P.T, L.B.C, S.B, or even S.C it's all the same.
Kiddies young as twelve are behind jail cells for sellin' drugs because they missed a few hugs from daddy and mommy taught them how to be in the game.
It's just another day in the life of the hood.  
Can't trust nobody,
You gotta look over your shoulder constantly,
Never too sure if anybody gonna stab you in the back.
People be walking down the streets cracked out,
willing to do just about anything for a little fix,
especially if it meant selling their baby.
Girls be out on the corners late at night turning dirty tricks with men,
unclean from needles and S.T.DS as they're destroying their bodies and integrity.
It's just another day in the life of the hood.
What should we do about all of this?,
How much longer till we all have to go through this?.
