Heart Broken

The thought of ever departing from him
To her, the chances were very…very slim

He displayed all the characteristics of a lover in faith
He was inspirational, sensational, full of chivalry and
grace

Nothing that anyone could tell her, that would discourage
her or cast doubt
Her man was the end all to be all, speak ill of him, she’d
curse you out

Love at first sight, with all her might, she would kick scratch
and fight
Her Mr. right, she held him down tight, she’d die for
him, give her last bite

Whenever he called, you better believe she was right
there
Even her last dollar, her last breath, with him she’d share

So how imagine how terribly distraught she was caught
Her knight in shining armor with his pants down literally
A deer caught in the headlights, tragically and pitifully

In wolves clothing her innocent heart stolen

Rocked the girl to sleep, like lil Bo Peep, she thought
he was a sheep

Deceitfully her good heart was stolen
Tears kept her pretty eyes swollen

His betrayal left her tormented and terribly scarred
Life became ugly, burned and charred

Suicide wasn’t farfetched, she needed someone to catch
Her before she fell, to break the spell of sadness,
regretful madness

Seeing her in so much hate and sorrow, feeling like she
had no tomorrow

She ask of love, what is love she asked today?
How does love create a pain that won’t go away?

For days, even weeks she wouldn’t speak, wouldn’t eat
Stayed in bed, barely could stand on her feet

I wanted to hold her, console her and mold her
Hopes of seeing her happy again, desire her as a friend

Her pain she tries to hide, it’s evident, even unspoken
How could a woman so special, so great be used and left
..Heart Broken
