Do I Haunt You?

Do you narrate to the stars
in the loving embrace of Nyx
the story of never-was?

Do you write

by candlelight,

until the night
is gone

the tales of what could have been?

On them rainy nights when it's cold,
and  loneliness flows through your veins,
seeping into your bones

Are you plagued too?

Does the ghost of us have it in for you as well?

What are your two am thoughts?
Is it a pipe dream to think that they may be of me?

Does my name feel like a rusty knife in that place where your heart used to be?

Does it gyrate in your stomach like the prelude to a storm?

I wonder if you can feel the dead butterflies...

...no?

Well I guess it's just me then
