Drop
I plummet.
Squares of maize below,
and forest green striping chocolate earth.
In heavy air I hang,
up and down suspended
briefly.
Slowly
descending
gathering pace,
terracotta meets terra firma
but I am not afraid,
brothers and sisters surround me.
We are free.
I impact.
Shards of aqua splinters
erupt in transparent fireworks.
This is no bloody massacre,
no tears shed.
Triumphant
with orchestral
synchronicity we reunite,
family flows away.
My work is done,
I pass on the gift...
