The Rebel Builder
- The Rebel Builder -
By what authority, was it made manifest,
That Creation itself was wrought of iron…
And all who exist within this human nest,
Be bound by the will of a supreme desire?
Bold is the rebel, for daring to be unique,
In defiance of what terrible warden exists!
Looking at true glory with eyes not weak,
But piercing beyond all the confining mists.
Mine are such eyes, and mine is such will,
Rebellious and free to embrace the light…
Unfettered by any conventions that are ill,
Soaring in search of some starry delight!
What divine force that reigns as supreme,
Must laugh at the limits we often impose!
Every man and woman is a king, a queen,
If we dare: some new creation, compose.
Cast off the chains that bind of thy hands,
And then what works shall they build tall!
Wonders to rival those of ancient lands…
To endure times’ passing and still not fall.
In every pyramid an eye that is your own,
Will proclaim your glory for all the ages…
And the spirit that fills it is never of stone,
It cannot be measured, in cautious stages.
Fear not the burning of liberty’s fair bliss!
The torch she bears shall show the way…
Fear not the offer of a harlot’s warm kiss,
For wanton is the path, from night to day.
Fear not the serpent, even its’ loud hiss…
It bears knowledge, with no price to pay.
Give ear, unto hidden truths and meaning!
Open your mind to receive wise thoughts.
Be not afraid of symbols when dreaming,
They convey truths as not one has taught!
Let my advice be a light forever gleaming,
So that nothing you do, is ever for naught.
