The Perseids
In the silence of this insomniac tent excavating dreams
from the bottomless cavern of darkness, I'm listening to your
sealed nerves from every vestige of decency throbbing
for another chance. You want to uproot and run; you ask me
'how to live when there's no moving forward'. Hope can seem
abandoned in a disembarked land when we relinquish what
we thought we owned. Resistance expands like space until
it bends back, evicting us from the wasted, everyday mundane.
Brother, feel the belief in my hand transfer from that starried
fire you just missed behind clenched eyes. Despite the pain
of having not wanted to arrive at this empty house, it's the ONLY
place on earth that can construct the solid foundation of Love
when it surely beckons your name again. In acceptance
of this, the aftermath transcends the near-loss experience
of death and dehydration after a desert trek into an oasis.
The relief is as palpable as swollen tongues and cracked lips
that finally bathe, and restless souls rising in love with peace.

My doll, this should be a line quoted by people in the far future. This piece has moments of pure genius. I read it n cause the word insomnia caught my attention. It has been Two days since sleep. So happy i stopped by. Loved it. 💋

The only reason i did not add this to my reading list is that i am at my max and have to remove one to place it. Will have to look and think.

and after the comets
it's quiet for a space -
as long as one
survives, of course...

You are a solace to every soul, sweet lady.. the emotion plied into your constellation, is as a womanly hand on the arm of Perseus himself...
"I'm listening to your
sealed nerves from every vestige of decency throbbing
for another chance."
~your dark even tempts the light w/captures like these!
Very familiar with your title.. & as always, your connection 'tween it & humanity, leaves me in gaping-mouthed respect!

the endless pursuit of motion can result in beauty, like broken bits of rock falling from the sky, to eventually come to rest at your soothing oasis. wonderful composing...

What a bloody and infectious line this is: 'Resistance expands like space until
it bends back, evicting us from the wasted, everyday mundane.' The photography you use as an inspiration or backdrop is always so perfect for the piece. You have great experience and a natural way with words; and that shows here.

Resistance is futile in Love unless we prefer misery instead.
Thank you. I appreciate your time and words.

"I'm listening to your
sealed nerves from every vestige of decency throbbing
for another chance. "
Seriously cutting words there...and followed up with the despair of:
"Hope can seem
abandoned in a disembarked land when we relinquish what
we thought we owned."
Nothing worse than the realization you had it all wrong. The more you've invested of yourself, the deeper the grief.
Then comes the beauty:
"In acceptance
of this, the aftermath transcends the near-loss experience
of death and dehydration after a desert trek into an oasis. "
A remarkable journey through the grief process you've taken us on. Finely penned, and a true pleasure to read.

I felt every droplette of the
ink poured here. Geesh,
I have got to get this on my
list.
and this hit me like a multi-
storm warning:
"when it surely beckons your name again. In acceptance
of this, the aftermath transcends the near-loss experience
of death and dehydration after a desert trek into an oasis. "
Well all of it brought the gift of insight and yes
what a pleasure, lovely piece.. lends me much
to ponder and feel
Shall be back surely.
