Umbrella Daggers
It's a sad story,
Of the new normalcy,
The spawn of insanity,
It's governmental power's consolidating,
Passing laws seeped in their neo-Puritan ideology,
Trickling down to the streets of cities,
Lines of cultists reciting mantras of supremacy,
What started as liberation,
From biased economic legislation,
Fighting for the next generation,
Embracing gender modernization,
Of this movement I pledge my support,
For back then there was discrimination to thwart,
The first and second movements pushed for equality but the third seeks to contort,
The delicate fabrics of relationships, personal love interests or anything they find abhorrent,
It's just a mindless train of destruction,
Requiring neither rationality,
Nor poorly written eloquencies,
To construct your belief,
A PSA promotion based on a dictionary definition,
But I urge you undecided don't be fooled,
There's so much more out there,
To them you're just another tool,
Don't be a teenager's first grey hair,
With a swift pluck their innocence's gone it's just not fair,
So when it rains keep track of,
Who hands you an umbrella,
Or holds it above your head,
Keep your feet when the bitter give you a stiff shove,
Beseeching you on behalf of every evil relative of Cinderella,
Who tore themselves apart when Prince Charm loved Cindy instead,
They'll tell you your genitalia makes you all deserving,
Of majestic men on flying unicorns and the clear skies of year-long springs,
Regardless of whether you've earned it or not,
At the end of the day why toil at work when it's all for naught,
Just marry a man for a year or two maybe have a kid,
Then divorce him quick to ruin his life while leeching financial benefits,
So I urge you men,
When you reach for an umbrella,
Be sure you have a dagger in it.
