A snide recompense on a long overdue account
Acceptance a heady draught, a history of intolerance
financial security a welcome relief, a bitter morass of self-pity
friendship, communion of spirit, not my kind.

I'd been thinking of calling the piece "Love" but decided this was better.
Catharsis - (from the Greek κάθαρσις katharsis meaning "purification" or "cleansing") is the purification and purgation of emotions—especially pity and fear—through art or any extreme change in emotion that results in renewal and restoration.
