On The Edge { Chapter 10}

The next day Eric and Kells had just had sex as they laid together in bed.
They were both naked under the covers as Kells was rubbing Eric's chest as she smiled and said " you are so good in bed" as she laughed and so did Eric as he said " yeah but you're pretty damn good yourself..." Kells smiles as she kisses Eric's neck then his lips as she then whispered in his ear softly " so what are we gonna do today?"
Eric's smile faded to a blank expression as he said " well...um I was thinking maybe we shouldn't do anything together today I have a lot of writing to catch up on and I'm on deadline to publish my book so I was thinking maybe some other day...." Kells's smile went to a frown as she sat up and looked at him and said " I don't understand...do you want to me leave?...."
Eric frowned as he sat up and got out of the bed as he went to his drawer and got out a pair of checkered boxers and a pair of pants as he said " well um...I am busy and well..."
Kells looked at him upset as she held the blanket to cover her chest as she said " but I won't get in the way! I won't bother you!!"
Eric just stood there silent for a couple of seconds, but then he said " well, Kells I really need to get started on my book...I'm on a deadline and my agent will really get on me if I don't have it done yet....you understand right?..." Kells didn't say anything, but just glared at him as she looked at him with such pure anger in her eyes as she got up from the bed and puts her bra and underwear back on as she also puts on her bottoms
as Eric watched her he asked her " Kells, are you ok?"
Kells then said " yeah...Im fine with you wanting me out of your hair...I'm just gonna go home..."
Eric then said " Kells, it's nothing personal just that I have to think about my work too--" then Kells cuts Eric off as she says " whatever I'll see you later..."
Kells then puts on her top as she walked out of Eric's bedroom then headed down stairs and walked out the house as she walked into her house and as she went up the stairs to the attic as she plopped down on her bed as she cried loudly as she began saying " you are so stupid Kells...why did you have to be so damn stupid Kells?!? GOD KELLS YOU ARE SUCH A IDIOT!!!"
then suddenly she saw the pieces of glass from her broken perfume bottle as she grabbed a piece from the floor as she sat there on her bed holding her left arm out as she began slicing at her left arm as she began saying " why doesn't he love me!?! Why doesn't he love me!?! WHY DOESN'T HE LOVE ME?!" she then puts down the piece of glass on the bed as it was covered in blood as her arm had three small slices on it. She calmly walked back down the stairs as she went into her bathroom and got a first aid kit out from under the sink and opened it as she wrapped her arm up in bandages then puts the first aid kit back under the sink and walks back to her room and goes to bed.
The next day
as Kells is still asleep in bed at 11:30 am as she is awoken to knocks at her door her eyes flutter open as she walks down the stairs to open the front door to see Eric standing there in front of her with an apologetic look on his face.
He then said " hey" softly
Kells sighed and said " hi"
Eric then said " is it ok if I come in?"
Kells nods as she lets him in then as he came in he noticed the bandages on her arm as he then asked " uh Kells what happened to your arm?"
Kells then remembered what she did yesterday as she hid her arm behind her and said " oh it's nothing...I just had an accident when I was making dinner..."
Eric looked at her as he raised his eye brow as he said " are you sure you're ok?"
Kells nodded and smiled as she said " oh yeah I'm fine really"
Eric then said " oh ok....um Kells we need to talk..."
Kells then said " ok, what is it?" Eric then rubbed the back of his head as he tried to avoid eye contact but then looks at Kells and says " listen I think it's best we don't see each other anymore..." Kells's smile went to a frown as she said " why?"
Eric then said " well come on Kells we really don't have anything in common and it was a mistake that this happened..." Kells then said " why? Do you think I'm ugly or something?" Eric then puts his hand on her shoulder as he said " no, no of course not you're beautiful! It's just that you have to understand I'm not looking for a committed relationship right now and---" then Kells cuts him off as she says " and all I ever was a booty call is that right?"
Eric then said " no, no it's not like that Kells...." but Kells didn't listen as her voice began to crack she softly said " shut up, just get out..."
Eric just stood there and looked at her then Kells yelled " GET OUT!"
Eric nodded as he left then Kells cried on the couch as she said " I hate you Eric!...you will pay for this!"
