See for yourself
Skies turn grey
So save yourself
And stay far away

Maybe, in time, you will enjoy the years
Of happiness and forego all of the tears
But I see all of the truths and the lies
Forever and so damn unwilling
With these hourglass eyes

You fade

Your perfect skin drifts away
Right now before my gaze
What I see when screws turn
Are wisps of what you were
Songs of when thunder rolls
Remind me of your soul
Rain clouds smother blues
And I'm still thinking of you

Don't fade

Wish I could find
Reasons to hold on
Look through my eyes
To see doubt

Nowhere in time will you find love so true
Eternal and everlasting just for you
Your beauty renews and leaves me sublime
But decays everyday thanks
To these hourglass eyes

You fade

I wish I could end this curse
And fade with you in verse
In rhythmic paradise
But, no, we are denied
And sing our separate song
Just to suffer alone
When lightning crashes through
Know I'm still thinking of you

Don't fade

But still you fade
Away

The storm has come
Clouds are grey
So, save yourself
And stay far away

Your perfect skin drifts away
Right now before my gaze
What I see when screws turn
Are wisps of what you were
Songs of when thunder rolls
Remind me of your soul
Rain clouds smother blues
And I'm still thinking of you

Don't fade
Away
