I Don't Like The Vibe

From salespeople we have been accustomed      
to fabrications half-truths and such        
a sell is the priority all the way        
even not fully disclosing the nuances of warranties        
make sure they get the paycheck      
that is the objective everyday        
       
Lawyers parse the whole story        
to suit their clients        
showing them in different lights      
by now we know        
a heck of difference        
between justice and what is right        
       
But it troubles me when      
a basketball coach in a press conference        
defends lying about who he starts  
was it so much better to deceive        
then just keep quiet and shut the boca      
now disinformation is a coaches' art      
       
What kind of message does it send      
to all people when it is popularized        
in the NBA Finals game        
that winning is linked to        
a false take on reality        
when basketball has such a large name        
       
Steve Kerr so doesn't get my applause      
though the boys from Cali were my favorite      
even if the team takes it all        
to defeat King James and company        
the road can be a slippery slope        
to be the proudest team standing tall...
