Young love

You say that I am too young,
and too dumb,
to truly comprehend your understanding of love.

However,
it is you, I believe,
who does not truly understand.

You say young love is naive,
but a fairytale dream,
and that we should wait until our souls start to grey.

And yet,
where is the passion,
and the fire within?
Where is desire,
the joy of being in sin.

And so my older counterparts,
I do not think it is I,
who does not understand,
but you.
