More Than A Feeling (There's Something Going On)
“..I don't want to do wrong
But it's been so long
I just can't help myself
No, no, no.......”
There is a depth
in the darkness of your eyes
it's translucent hue
still crystal clear
whenever your near
me...
…...I wanna' know
what's on your mind
so much more to see
inside your smile
your face is so kind
It's just the way
that we always seem to find ourselves
in close proximity to each other
when we are in a room
or a restaurant
or gallery
never seeming to arrive together,
yet in the *moment*,
we can't seem to drift apart
if you ask me for the moon right now,
“no” would never enter my heart
“....am I wrong to hunger for the tenderness of your touch
knowing that I've got someone else at home who needs me just as much...”
I can't help but notice
that you are a diamond in every way
Your body is perfection
the way you walk, the way your hips dip and sway
feet perched upon fiercely, feminine heels
strutting your *stuff* with such finesse, such skill
I am so aroused, so for real...
…..and your smile
“..nothin' means as much
Nothin' seems to touch
Your smile
if anything I miss
Never could resist
Your smile”
There's something going on.....
….this tingling, this fire
I feel deep inside
It's getting so hard to contain it
so damned hard to explain it
I want you....
..and could my heart be wrong
is your soul singing the same refrain,
the same song?
My June, your September......
(....it's you, it's been you all the time)
wanting to be deep inside
your comfort,
caressing the beauty
of your “old soul”
letting you do things to me
allowing myself to dream,
allowing you to take control...
…of me
yes, there's something going on
(....and now, thank you's for great inspirations: Gladys Knight, "I Don't Want To Do Wrong", Luther Ingram, "If Loving You Is Wrong", Frieda Angsted. "There's Something Going On" and Anita Baker, "It's Been You All The Time")
