ANOTHER ODE TO DUP
(Inspired by conversation I had with new poet - to whom this is dedicated - in which I likened the DUP to a nudist beach.)
If you have poetic vision
That's constrained by inhibition,
Come take a break in DUP,
Within settings of privacy.
There let your naked thoughts hang out
(As if on beach without a clout),
And let the inspiration rise,
Worry not about shape or size.
Here you can show that certain side,
That outside you may tend to hide,
Among those of like tendency
Who flourish in its liberty.
Many I have seen make their splash
Have led me to verse sea to dash.
The water's lovely to come in
So take the plunge as in own skin.
