Poison

Stuck in a deepness,

like the bottom of a ship.

Doors locked and bolted,

and were sinking quick.

You do what you can to dig out of this mess,

but soon powerless you are lost to the abyss.

Lost in black,

not even an explosion can shatter this glass.

You try to think,

how did I get here?

It was you that held my hand.

I had trust for you somewhere,

but you led me down these stairs.

With each step,

forgetting who I am.

I was born like you,

with a heart that pumped color.

With bones made for strength.

With a longing to belong to another.

People speak of romance,

of children, love and laughter.

But baby all I need is you.

In this life and after.

You burn and melt like poison.

Tear your acid wholes,

jagged through my cheeks.

All I know is you,

and this death you give to me.

You crave immortality.

Eating my muscles,

filling craters in my bones.

You give me all i need.

Girl you make me whole.

You know you've got this hold on me.

A grip i can not break,

a hold I can't escape.

So tear me up from the inside out.

Make my heart beat.

Fast, and loud.

Impartial to misery.

You blew through me like bullet wholes.

Left stains on my sheets,

and stains on my soul.

A hatred I never imagined,

Buried under your lies,

and you were too strong you've taken my life.

I never even liked you.

You were a mistake.

But i let you in my heart,

and now your ripping me apart.

I close my eyes and see a train,

traveling to a distant place.

Where I was like you,

not put together with glue.

I could smile and mean it.

Where pain was only a story,

not this life I built with you.

Where the sun came up and people cared,

and the whole in my heart was just a nightmare.

But since this is just a dream.

Oh,

sweet glass please cut me.

Blow your smoke down my scarred throat,

and make me forget this feeling.
